Can You be Vacation-sick?

Because I wanna go back. I fell in love with the part of Florida we visited en masse this year. The last two hours of my drive were very pleasant, driving along a one lane coastal road, enjoying the sight of the ocean I’ve missed for so long. Typical Miss Tara, I wondered at one point why I couldn’t smell that wonderful ocean smell, no matter how hard I tried. Then it occured to me that I’d have to unseal my excellent A/C and roll down the window for that. I’m not always the sharpest crayon in the box, chitlins. It was April and it was WARM down there. Much warmer than East TN. Suntan and swimming warm, and I loved it.

Our beachhouse was part of a private community, which I have to admit I got a kick out of. We were a stone’s throw from the water, with private access and real jasmine twining around the railings of the front steps. There was an excellent community pool which I had to myself the first time I went to find it – sweet! I love pools, I love to swim and it felt so good to be in the sun and water. Practically bare all over to those wonderful elements.

I spent a lot of time with ladies I’d never met in person before and they are fabulous. Ms Elizabeth and Ms Daphne are tough phone mistresses, but they are also bright funny warm vibrant women, which I’m sure you have also discovered if you’ve talked with them. Ms Julia is bubbly and incredibly friendly, she’s also the perfect pool companion because she likes to sit in the sun and read as much as I do. LOL, just leave the bees at home   I had met Ms Hannah before, but it was a delight to get to just sit and hang out with her, and as for the talented and soft spoken Ms Cecilia…I would have liked to hug her more:) She inspires hugs, and really interesting conversations. If you haven’t found these things out for yourself, CALL THESE LADIES SOON!

As for my darlings Ms Trish and little Miss Lilah, it was good just to be around them. I love them madly and miss sitting around with no place to go and nothing to do but talk.  Ms Ally is an incredibly gracious hostess, and a good friend. She takes care of all of us, while doing what she wants and encouraging everyone else to do the same! She even brought her adorable puppy, who kept everyone entertained and amused while we were there.

So, now I’m back and refreshed and raring for a great summer. But, damn it, I wanna go back!! LOL:)
