It’s been quite a week! I’m still shocked to hear about the Crocodile Hunter, I thought Steve Irwin was funny and a really interesting guy. He left an amazing legacy and he made me laugh when I was really stressed out. As my sister put it, all those years ago, “You’ve got to watch Animal Planet! There’s this blond Australian guy on there who wrestles crocodiles. He’s totally insane, just your type!” And, as it turns out, he totally was. And Steve-O is still making me laugh. One of the girls on a favourite message board speculated “This is probably the wrong time to think about it, but damn! That man was FULL of energy and enthusiasm. Imagine what he must have been like in bed!” I nearly soaked my moniter with iced tea:)

All of you sissy-pies who aren’t watching Project Runway on Bravo, you are missing a totally wonderful bitchfest and some really fun clothing challenges every week. I don’t always agree with the judges, but some truly bizzare shit walks down that runway pretending to be clothing and it’s FAB-ulous! And, often, you see something totally gorgeous to, when you least expect it. I recommend it highly.

Toodle-loo, go with God and don’t take any wooden nickels.

I don’t think anyone will believe this, but I was listening to ABC Radio news and they announced Steve Irwin was “killed by the barbed spike of a manatee.” Yup, I always trust the media.

I believe you, dizzy gissie. The media is full of morons. Flipping through the channels this afternoon, I caught the end of his kids show, Croc Files. And its nifty theme song “G’Day”. Dammit,I LIKED that man!!

But, like, a manatee, you know … do they even have tails? I dont think so, they’re just big enormous vegetarian critters who are always getting hit by motorboats. It is weird because stingrays are only a tiny bit more dangerous than manatees, it’s like the crocodile hunter was killed by a moth that flew into his nose while he was asleep. Possible, I guess, but very bizarre.

I liked him a lot too, he was a real showman, but very reckless. The recklessness was a big part of his charm, I think.
