WOW! January flew by! My little Festiva is still visiting my mechanics, because they’ve had a lot of emergency work and they know I’m patient. And I know that they won’t charge me an arm and a leg for going over the thing – plus they’re totally honest, so I would never dream of going anywhere else. But still, I haven’t DRIVEN since July, except for bringing it home. We even went and got a shiny new license plate last week. I suppose I should be using this time to find the best insurance rates.
You may have noticed that it was a little easier to reach me this past month. I am trying to be more available and will continue to work on that this month, so CALL ME, goshdarnit. But, not in the morning hours. Unless it’s six am and I haven’t gone to bed yet, you probably won’t reach me before noon on any regular basis. I’m just not built that way.
I had the nicest thing happen today. I was talking to my sister and she mentioned that my nephew had just been wishing that I come and visit them, because he missed me and I haven’t been to see them in a long time. This is my special little guy, the first of the many munchkins and my little soulmate. The one who made his momma play Christopher Robin and Pooh and Piglet (little sister) for hours – just like I used to make her play “pretend” games out in the yard when we were kids. She didn’t like them then, and she didn’t like them better with her darling little boychild, but she played along. But then she blamed ME for wishing a vivid imagination on her son. Moi? (I did encourage him though, every chance I got!!) Now we share Harry Potter fandom. I think I need to take a trip to the Great White North!
I guess Ill be off to bed, and a comfy big bed it is too. My cleaning lady makes it up with fresh crisp sheets each week and I feel like a million bucks. I just need to get another set of good quality sheets, so that I have two pair and can swap them without having to run a wash right away. Hmm, I wonder if I can put sheets on my wishlist? LOL!!! Mmmm, just imagine me all stretched on those lovely cotton sheets YOU gave me, soft against my bare skin…tempt tempt tempt:)
